While a cautious approach remains as to levels of lending exposure to the housing market, the shortfall in new housing provision remains.
And in the current political climate, the dependence on private developers to meet that demand is likely to increase. Funding solutions need to be created to allow the market to operate.
We would be pleased to look at schemes that banks and other institutions are considering. Consider Wolsey where there is a need to ‘plug the gap’ between the level of client equity available and the ceiling of senior debt lending.
Wolsey will also look at refinancing options for a bank’s clients on existing, part developed schemes. If you have customers wishing to generate cash we will look at the development programme for the scheme and make a proposal for refinancing that will release equity currently tied up in that project.
